Looking over the reviews that people have written in our guestbook and posted on Trip Advisor, amongst other places, it is clear that a few things resonate with our guests.
Cleanliness is, unsurprisingly, of utmost importance. We understand that no one wants to turn up to their holiday abode to find that the accommodation they’ve paid for is grubby around the edges.
In terms of running our boutique Byron Bay guesthouse, we put cleanliness at the forefront. All rooms and linen are thoroughly cleaned on a guests’ departure, all shared spaces are cared for and maintained on a daily basis.
Another area raised is that of being prepared for guests and ensuring a smooth arrival. After any amount of travel time, an easy check-in can’t go wrong.
Our manager meets and greets guests, wherever possible. As one reviewer mentioned, “I arrived past check in on a Friday night but they were more than happy to come out and get me settled.” It’s a rare moment that we are not available to welcome you in person.
On arrival you will find everything ready for you. The bathroom and kitchen are always stocked and rooms ready with towels, crisp, cotton bedding, cotton robes and ample storage space.
Tourists to the Northern Rivers region also appear to regard accommodation facilities as important, alongside additional perks and finishing touches.
With regards to Barbara’s Guesthouse, we not only provide ample storage space in the bedrooms, but also in the kitchen were you are welcome to make use of allocated cupboard and fridge space. We also have a washroom where you are welcome to use the washer and dryer, at an additional cost.
The extra little things that we offer include making tea, coffee, milk and sugar available to you at all times. Start or finish your day with a cup of tea. Why not?
We’re also proud of our outdoor shower and our indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, which our guests love. As one says, “the real charm was the front and back porch where we could escape to read our books and relax after hitting the beach or town in the morning.”
At Barbara’s we understand that even though you’re away from home, you may still want to make use of WiFi and so we provide this to you, for free, alongside information on the local area.
So there it is, a round up of some of the reviews of the last year. Thanks to everyone who took time to provide feedback. A guest recently reviewed our guesthouse, stating that “a lot of love and care seems to have gone into the place.” We’d happily agree. It’s true.
But if for some reason something at the guesthouse isn’t or wasn’t to your satisfaction, please let us know via the guestbook located next to the indoor dining table, or better still, in person. Getting it right, for you, is important to us.
When we do get it right, though, please also let us know!
So many of our previous visitors have already left positive feedback and glowing reviews that let us know when we’re hitting the mark.
We want Barbara’s Guesthouse to be a home from home, a comfortable, welcoming environment that you leave feeling rested and rejuvenated. Your comments help us to make it the best we can, for you.
